Tsunami Series Water Separator Installation Instructions

WARNING: SHUT OFF AND DEPRESSURIZE AIR SYSTEM BEFORE SERVICING OR INSTALLING.
MAXIMUM OPERATING PRESSURE IS 250 PSI

  • Maximum working temperature or at 145 PSI 50° C / 122° F
  • Installed a system as close as possible to point of use
  • Always installed a system with the arrows indicating the direction of airflow
  • The lubricator must be filled before the system is pressurized
  • the oil recommended for lubricator is ISO and UNI FD 22 (e.g. ENERGOL HLP 22 "BP"; SPINESSO 22 "ESSO"; PHYDRUS OIL 22 "IP"; MOBIL DTE 22 "MOBIL"; TELLUS OIL 22 "SHELL"

P/N 21999-0131 has a rated flow of 50 SCFM and a 1/2" NPT inlet.
Reducer bushings are included for 3/8" and 1/4" NPT.
P/N 21999-0082 has a rated flow of 120 SCFM and a 1" NPT inlet.
Reducer bushings are included for 12" and 3/4" NPT.

The Modular Tsunami Separator and lubricator may be installed on airdrops or mounted on machines.
Connect the air inlet to Port (A). this is a NPT female pipe, bushings can be used to reduce pipe size if needed.
The outlet port (B) is NPT female pipe, bushings can be used to reduce pipe size if needed. The system works best when point of use air is within 15 feet from the unit.
Set the drip rate (E) on the lubricator for approximately 2 drops per 35 SCFM of air flow. Use a flat blade screwdriver to adjust.
Use a minimum 3/8 inch ID air hose for best results for their tools.
The Tsunami Separator comes with a automatic drain (C) PN 9000801. As water accumulates in the bottom sump the drain will automatically eject this water at a predetermined level. An optional drain tube kit (P/N 21999-0201) can be ordered separately.

MAINTENANCE:
If the automatic drain should become stuck opened or inoperable shut off the air and bleed all pressure from separator before servicing. Remove the bottom On the separator. The drain usually can be cleaned and hot soap and water. DO NOT attempt to disassemble the drain as you may cause it to become inoperable permanently.
When installing a new drain, make sure o-ring is installed on the bottom stem (D) before screwing into bottom cap. Snug finger tight.
